Working with the Exploration Manager and site exploration teams, you will be driving the success of their exploration goals this year.

About the Client:

Zenith Search specialises in providing recruitment services to the Mining Industry.

Our Mining Team are experts in placing talents across Technical Services, Exploration, Capital Development, and Processing.

We are currently partnering with a developing Australian miner and explorer based here in Perth, this is a newly created role that will be working with the Exploration Manager, to lead the site exploration and resource activities for this year.

They have recently made significant capital investments and are looking at an upward growth trajectory this year and in the years to follow. The position will suit a Geologist who can offer a strong track record in Near Mine Exploration and Resource Development in Gold commodity.

You will be supported by a robust leadership team including reporting to the Exploration Manager, and the Chief Geologist. You will be leading from the front and will be in-charge in driving activity, steering the command for ground knowledge, and supporting the leadership team in hitting the Geology Targets for this year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the site exploration activities, providing effective project planning and execution.
• Conduct geological mapping, sampling, and drilling activities to identify and assess mineral deposits and targets.
• Analyse geological data and contribute to resource definition and modelling, working with internal experts, consultants, and contractors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure exploration strategies are followed in the safest order, cost and budget is adhered to, and deliverables are met.
• Training of site Geology Teams, Technicians, and being the standard bearer of the Exploration Team on site.
• Develop methods and work programs that place safety and productive outcomes at the front.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field.
• At least 7 years experience as a Senior Exploration Geologist in the mining industry.
• Proficiency in geological software and data analysis tools. (Surpac, Leapfrog, Logchief, aQuire)
• Strong leadership and field project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in Gold and RC/AC and DD Program is essential
