The Opportunity:

Our client is one of Australia’s high quality, leading Aged Care Providers with various facilities across the whole of Perth where they provide Low, High and Dementia specific care as well as Extra Services. Our client has excellent staff to patient ratios to support the team and residents on site.

We now are seeking Registered Nurses who can work the following shifts on a permanent part time basis:

• Monday & Sunday – AM
• Thursday & Friday – PM
• Monday & Sunday – NIGHTS

You will be looking after 33 beds in this beautiful, quaint little facility which has a homely feel with wonderful staff. You will be working alongside Med Comp Carers and a couple of other general carers and there will be other RNs on AM and PM shift along with a CNM.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide high quality, safe and effective nursing care that aligns with individual resident preferences and best practice
• Updating and following care plans
• Ensure aged care standards are met and adhered too
• Coach, mentor and supervise all junior staff & carers on shift
• Undertake clinical, social and self-care assessments if necessary
• SIRS – dealing with falls and incident reporting
• Adhering to restrictive practice guidelines
• Wound care
• Ensure all care plan documentation is completed
• Anticipate residents’ changing health needs and initiate further assessments or referrals
• Support residents by addressing queries, comments, suggestions, or concerns

Skills and experience required:

• Nursing qualification and current professional AHPRA registration
• Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and Accreditation is desirable
• NDIS Clearance
• Current influenza and COVID vaccinations notifications (or approved exemption)
• Preferrably have aged care experience
