THE EXCITING OPPORTUNITY

We have 2 newly created opportunities for Physiotherapists who have some residential aged care experience to work in the most beautiful facilities in the whole of Perth. Primary focus of this position is fall prevention, pain management and mobility support. You will not be doing 4a and 4b massages, so this is a true, all encompassing physiotherapist position.

Duties Include:

• NO 4a/4b massage
• Primary focus on fall prevention, pain management and mobility support
• Tailor your treatment accordingly to suit each individuals needs – ensuring the best possible outcome
• Complete therapy and mobility assessments and respond to clinical referrals
• Apply your experience and specialist knowledge to increase physical and cognitive function and maximise mobility and quality of life
• Implementation and measurement of individually tailored fall prevention programs
• Provide suitable pain management treatment and direct individual therapeutic pain management treatment
• Plan and coordinate individual and group physical activity programs that are delivered by Therapy Assistants
• Develop, manage, review/evaluate care plans on a regular basis to suit the resident’s changing needs
• Contribute to continuous improvement, compliance and reporting activities
• Identify and assess appropriate mobility, manual handling and complex needs within high care and low care residents
• Work with the residents & families to establish meaningful goals, providing services in line with their care plan, preferences, needs, and policies and procedures

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

• Will have Qualifications in Physiotherapy with AHPRA Registration
• Some residential aged care experience is required so we can ensure you enjoy this environment
• Will be driven to want to provide the best outcomes for your Clients, by providing physical and functional mobility assessments, developing, managing and evaluating care plans
